Rockband for the Wii! Awesome!....Right? I mean, I play it on my Girlfriend's Xbox 360 all the time and its Awesome! The character creation, the items, the tour mode, the fan system, its pure awesomeness! So it should be the same awesomenessocity on the Wii, Right? Same game, right?
Well, no. Instead of a hot chick(Rock band) with a fat guy(360), the Wii edition of Rock Band is more along the lines of a hot chick (Wii) with a douche bag (Rock band for Wii). The reason I use the analogy is not just because I just read a book named "Hot Chicks with Douche Bags" as well as discovered the website(Which I recommend highly), but the alterations in the transition from Xbox 360 to Wii can only be described as complete douchebaggery on the part of the people who made Rock Band, or Harmonix as they are called.
Sure, its playing a fake guitar, bass, and drums to moving notes on a tv screen. Not to mention the vocals. But some of the aspects that set Rock band Apart from Guitar Hero III were stripped away when it was doomed to the Wii. I don't even think there will be any downloadable content for the game (I want A7X damn it!). Can't make your own band, or character, no awesome "world tour" interface or cool cut scenes with the tour bus with your band's name on the side, no fans, ya know, all the little things....
Its for some people I guess, and maybe I expect way too much for Wii, but I still don't regret buying it, it is still fun for parties and such.
