trying to sell this PC...

    Well, I got pretty much the same specs in my current PC. (For a quick comparison: E6600, GF 7950gx2, 2GB, 500GB HDD, 500W PSU, ASUS mobo.)

    And I got it all (used, cept for HDD and PSU) last December for roughly 450 EUR, so that's roughly 650 US$. So, half a year later, I'd say 500-600 US$..

    Brand new I could get that (Or the equivalent) for about £600 (~$1000 US). I don't know whether this is brand new or not, but hey. If not I'd take ~$200 off that, especially on something like eBay, because of the stigma of 'used' PC parts. Also, a number of manufacturers will not honour the warranty if the owner is not the original purchaser, and that puts off a quite a number of what I assume is going to be your target audience.

    Also, where are you trying to sell it?

    If it's ebay, start it lower with a reserve of, say, $900. People are stupid on that site, as I'm sure you know, and will bid a low cost item to high cost without thinking twice, but refuse to bid on a high start item.

    If it's private forums/classifieds, then it might be worth offering free shipping or something, that's how I make a lot of my forum based sales.

      Crap man thats the most help I've had and the best help as well. I'm trying to sell it on eBay, started at $800 the first time, no bids. then tried $500. no bids....

      In Athens right now so internet is limited. I'll respond again soon.
